The Azerbaijani American Cultural Association (AACA) was founded in Miami, Florida by Tohfa Eminova on October 26, 2006.
As a volunteer-based organization, our activities are managed by the President and Executive Director in consultation with the Board of Directors. AACA is a nonprofit organization 501 (c)3 that promotes the rich heritage of Azerbaijan to the diverse community of South Florida. AACA receives administrative support from the Mayor of Hallandale’s office.
In the same year, the Opening Ceremony of AACA was held. The Grand Ceremony was hosted by Nazim Ibrahimov, the Chief of State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Azerbaijan Republic as well as members of the Turkish and Jewish communities.
The conference participants emphasized a great need for cultural events & festivals, such as “Days of Azerbaijan”, that improve recognition of Azerbaijan in the USA. Holding
The goal of AACA is to bring Azerbaijanis living in Florida together to share the realities of our country to American society.
It is the first organization of its kind in Florida. Together, we have presented information about Azerbaijan, its traditions, and its ancient and rich culture.
